Students from Philippine public schools won 2 bronze medals at the World Adolescent Robot Competition (WARC) held in Chongqing, China.
The winning Philippine Robotics National Team was composed of the Philippine Robotics EXCEL Olympiad champions for Department of Education schools.
Project 6 Elementary School (DepEd Quezon City) and Pitogo High School (DepEd Makati) made podium finishes with Bronze medals at the robotics tilt
for regular elementary and junior teams held from August 12-16, 2019.
The Philippine public schools competed among 113 teams from 30 countries gathered for the World Robot Olympiad-sanctioned competition.
The FELTA Media report about the winning teams noted that the World Adolescent Robot Competition is a grand festival for youth across the world to showcase their talent and skills in designing and building robots.
Philippine Robotics National Teams have been on a winning streak this 2019 with Dr. Yanga’s Colleges winning Gold in Denmark and another Gold in Turkey, Grace Christian College’s Silver in Australia, and another Silver in Romania for the Philippine Science High School Tacloban.
