X-Factor United Kingdom (UK) 2018 finalist Marie Giedie Maureen Laroco has launched her debut international album.
Maria Laroco gained worldwide attention after she was hand-picked by Simon Cowell, the show’s lead judge, to join his finals team on X-Factor.
Now a year later after being dubbed by X-Factor Global as the hit television reality show’s “Filipino power house”, Maria Laroco has her own music album.
Maria Laroco released her music album titled, “Just Maria” with a special Facebook release on August 26 to September 1, 2019. Just Maria contains Laroco’s 10 original songs with carrier single “Imagine”, a love song. The American R&B/Blues album is under the U.S. recording label, “Odic Records”.
Pangasinan’s pride, Maria Laroco, is now touring the Philippines to promote her music.
“I’ve always wanted to be part of the showbiz industry here in the country that’s why I’ve joined several singing contests prior to my UK stint,” Laroco shared to media during the album launch in the Philippines.
The 18-year-old Filipina singer had previously joined the Philippines’ The Voice Kids, signed up with Universal Records Philippines, represented the Philippines in a Child Asia concert in Japan, and became the Grand Champion in the Great British Festival held in Makati City led by UK Ambassador Daniel Pruce, among many other local singing stints.
Maria Laroco also revealed her intent to again join the X-Factor’s 2019 edition after Cowell called her when the show ended, to say, “Promise me you’ll come back next year. If not, I will be the one to fly to the Philippines to get you here in the competition.”
“So I’m going back because I have no intention of breaking that promise,” Maria shared.
Just Maria is available on digital music platforms online like Spotify, Deezer, Spinner, and iTunes.
X Factor Global has seen the rise of several Filipino singing champions including X Factor Romania champion Bella Santiago from Cavite and X Factor Australia champion Cyrus Villanueva.
