University of Santo Tomas (UST) graduate Justine Louie Bautista Santiago topped the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Licensure Examination while the University of the Philippines Diliman (UP Diliman) secured its ranking as the top-performing school in the latest Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) results released Monday, October 21.
UST led the top 17 board passers with 6 topnotchers; University of San Carlos (USC) claimed 2nd spot with 3 topnotchers; De La Salle University Manila was 3rd with two topnotchers.
The 3 top CPA board passers:
- Justine Louie Bautista Santiago (UST), 90.33 %
- Marlou Borbon Alinsonorin (USC) 89.67 %
- Christian Lawrence Cruz Go (DLSU Manila) 89.50 %
UP Diliman was ranked top performing school with a passing rate of 84.21 percent.
UST had a 57.32 percent passing rate, USC with 59.60 passing, and DLSU Manila with 67.19 passing.
The PRC announced that 2,075 out of 14,492 examinees passed the CPA examinations given by the Board of Accountancy in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban and Tuguegarao this October 2019. Full results go here.
In September, USC and UST Electrical Engineers were topnotchers in the board exams, while UP topped the Forester and Librarian examinations
