This poem has been published in Almario’s book from Adarna House, “May mga Bulaklak.” Known by his pen name Rio Alma, Almario is a leading poet, critic, translator, editor, teacher, and cultural administrator. He received the country’s highest honor for the arts, the National Artist Award for Literature, in 2003.
