Filipino animated TV series project “Alphabesties” was chosen by Spain’s Bridging the Gap (BTG) Animation Lab to take part in its intensive workshop sessions this July 14 to 20, 2019 in Tenerife, Spain.
Alphabesties, created, written, and directed by Neema B. Ejercito, is the only Filipino project chosen for the 5th edition of the BTG Lab.
Produced by Toast & Brew Studios, the Filipino TV series project is an animation of felt-crafted alphabet characters that are trying to learn how to spell by working together like bestfriends.
Alphabesties is one of the 13 projects selected for this year’s BTG Animation Lab. The chosen feature films and TV series are from the Philippines, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Colombia, Argentina, Ecuador, Venezuela, and Chile.
The Bridging the Gap Animation Lab is a partner program of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) which exposes emerging Filipino animators to the animation industry by giving them the chance to meet and network with influential international professionals in the industry.

With its aims to strengthen and promote animation projects like Alphabesties from around the world, BTG’s Animation Lab continues to facilitate priojects for international collaborations and networks.
