World champion gymnast Carlos Edriel Yulo has bagged gold and bronze medals in the 2021 All Japan Senior and Masters Gymnastics Championships, his first competition since the Tokyo Olympics.

The 21-year-old Filipino athlete topped the floor exercise event with 15.300 points. He also tallied 15.000 points to place third in the vault apparatus event on September 23, 2021.

Yulo marked a memorable Olympics debut for the Philippines last July with an appearance in the Men’s Vault Final and placing 4th overall.

The country’s top gymnast is set to defend his historic first World Artistic Gymnastics Championships title in this year’s edition to be held in Kitakyushu, Japan in October.

Carlos Yulo became the first artistic gymnast representing the Philippines to win medals in the world championships after he won bronze in the floor exercise at the 2018 edition in Doha, Qatar, and the historic gold in the 2019 edition in Stuttgart, Germany.

SEND CONGRATULATIONS in the comments below to world champion gymnast Carlos Edriel Yulo for bagging gold and bronze medals in the 2021 All Japan Senior and Masters Gymnastics Championships, his first competition since the Tokyo Olympics.
