The tropical island paradise of Boracay has secured back-to-back No. 2 world ranks for the Philippines in the annual 50 Most Instagrammable Places in the World ranking released by travel website, Big 7 Travel.
The country once again landed on the annual list as Boracay ranked in second place in the new 50 Most Instagrammable Places In The World ranking for 2022.
Boracay Island came in second next to fellow Southeast Asian nation Singapore in the website’s Instagram bucket list of “destinations that are guaranteed to get likes.”
Big 7 Travel recommended the world-famous island destination to travelers around the world for its scenic white sand beaches and thriving businesses.
“Teeny tiny Boracay is fast becoming the Philippines’ top tourist draw – and in a country spanning 7,500 islands, that’s saying a lot. From dreamy sunsets on sandy beaches to fire dances to bustling bars, the gram opportunities here are endless,” Big 7 Travel wrote.
The travel website, which rounded up “sparkling city views to ocean-fringed paradise” in the best-list, used a scoring system that analyzes the number of hashtags per destination, survey results from Big 7 Travel’s social audience, and input from their editorial team.
Top destinations such as Oahu Island in Hawaii, New York City in New York, and last year’s topper Tokyo, Japan also made the top five of the ranking.
Last year, the same ranking released by Big 7 Travel listed the archipelagic islands of the Philippines at No. 2.
Boracay Island’s beaches and tourism in the new normal were highlighted in a video campaign that won the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) tourism video competition last year.
The world-famous islands of Palawan in the Philippines were featured in the 2020 edition of the Most Instagrammable list. The archipelagic province was also picked Top 11th in the World’s Best Bucket List Places for the New Decade.
SEND CONGRATULATIONS in the comments below to the tropical island paradise of Boracay for placing 2nd in the annual 50 Most Instagrammable Places in the World ranking released by travel website, Big 7 Travel.
