The Philippines’ Auro Chocolate has again raised the country’s colors among the world’s best chocolatiers as it bagged three gold accreditations from the Academy of Chocolate International Awards in London.
The chocolate-maker from Davao, the Philippines’ official Cacao capital, was named the winner of 3 golds, 6 silvers, and 1 bronze in the prestigious Academy of Chocolate Awards announced on December 13, 2020.
Auro Chocolate’s 3 gold accreditations in the 2020 global awards improved on its first and single gold win in the 2019 edition. Its 6 silver wins also improved its 2 from 2019.
Since its launch in mid-2017, Auro Chocolate has already won a total of 46 international awards in 3 years.
The Academy of Chocolate Awards was delayed due to the Covid 19 enforced restrictions that delayed the judging, virtual and in-person tastings that were eventually conducted over the last eight weeks by leading names in the chocolate sector.
