The Philippine Robotics National Team has once again made a mark on the global stage, securing multiple awards at the prestigious 2023 World Robot Olympiad (WRO) Finals in Panama.
Competing against teams from 82 countries, the Filipino students showcased exceptional skills and innovation, earning three silver and nine bronze awards at the acclaimed robotics tilt held from November 7-10.

- Project 6 Elementary School, Quezon City: Future Innovators – Elementary
- Dr. Yangas Colleges, Inc.: Future Innovators – Junior High School
- Marie Ernestine School, Lapu Lapu City, Cebu: Robo Mission – Senior High School
Bronze Rankings
- Batangas State University: Future Engineers and Robo Mission categories for Junior and Senior High School
- IBO Elementary School, Lapu Lapu, Cebu: Robo Mission – Elementary
- Betty Go Elementary School, Quezon City
- Japer Memorial High School: Robo Mission and Future Innovators for Junior and Senior High School
- Marigondon National High School, Lapu Lapu, Cebu: Robo Sports
- Legazpi City Science High School, Bicol: Robo Sports
- St. John’s Wort Academy, Antipolo City
- Dr. Yanga’s Colleges Inc., Bocaue, Bulacan
- Japer Memorial High School, Bohol
Mylene Abiva, President and CEO, played a pivotal role as the Age Group Head Judge for Future Innovators, Junior High School, and honored the Puerto Rican Robinsons Innovators with the Technical Solution Award.
The national team’s achievement highlights the Philippines’ growing prowess in robotics and technology. The WRO serves as a platform for nurturing young talents, and promoting creativity, innovation, and problem-solving in science and technology.
