The Philippine National Taekwondo Team conquered the 2019 Shinhan World Peace Taekwondo Festival in South Korea, bagging a total of 56 golds, 20 silvers, and 11 bronze medals.
The team announcement on August 3 reported the 46-strong Philippine delegation won a total of 87 medals in competitions held at the Shinhan University Campus 1 in Seoul.
The Shinhan medals follow the recent medal hauls by Filipina jins at the Open International Taekwondo Championships held in July in Chuncheon, South Korea and Filipino kids in the Taekwondo Color Belt Kyorugi and Hanmadang Championships held in Hong Kong.
Team Philippines, led by delegation heads Edrick Galing and Ricky Santiago, included young taekwondo practitioners, coaches, and instructors from different Philippine Taekwondo Association chapters across the country.
