Filipino film ‘Fan Girl’ starring Paulo Avelino and Charlie Dizon is set to compete at the 24th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia to be held this November.
The A-Listed film festival accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations announced the participation of the Filipino film after the release of its official selection on October 22, 2020.
‘Fan Girl,’ the sole Filipino film entry in the main competition, will have its European premiere in Tallinn right after its anticipated world premiere at the 33rd Tokyo International Film Festival this October 31.
The Pinoy film entry will compete against 24 other foreign films like South Korea’s ‘A Distant Place,’ Spain’s ‘Armugan,’ Mongolia’s ‘Bedridden,’ Bulgaria’s ‘Fear,’ and Latvia’s ‘Sign Painter’, among others.
The psychological suspense movie of award-winning director Antoinette Jadaone follows the story of 16-year-old Jane who sneaks into the villa of her idol who gets increasingly creepy and takes advantage of her obsession.
‘Fan Girl’ lead actress Charlie Dizon took to social media to express her excitement over their international screenings.
