Panay Island has been named once again among Asia’s 25 Best Destinations in the 2020 edition of TripAdvisor’s Travellers Choice Awards.
Reviewers ranked the Philippine’s sixth largest Island in the 20th spot of the Top 25 Best Destinations Asia of the 2020 Trip Advisor Travellers Choice Awards based on reviews and votes of travelers.
“From can’t-miss iconic cities to new surprises, these are the spots that travellers raved about most on Tripadvisor this year,” announced the popular travel site in its best of the best list released in February 2020.
“For years, Panay Island has shown up on most travellers’ maps as a stop-over on the way to Boracay’s white-sand beaches. Turns out, they were missing something truly special — a hidden gem with a rich ecotourism ethos, where turquoise lagoons and waterfalls are just the start,” says TripAdvisor.
Tripadvisor also listed down the Top attractions in the Panay Island:
- White Beach
- Camina Balay nga Bato
- Yapak Beach
- Ariel’s Point
- Bakhawan-Eco Park and Research Center
Panay Island was ranked in the same spot in the Top 25 Best Destinations Asia of the 2018 Trip Advisor Travelers Choice Awards.
Luzon Island in the Philippines was also named as the World’s Top 2 Trending Destination in the 2020 Travellers’ Choice Awards.
Tripadvisor reviewers and readers also named Cebu Island in the Visayas among the “World’s 25 Trending Destinations” in the 2020 edition of the Tripadvisor Traveller’s Choice Awards.
