Miss Philippines Joanne Ayrra Averilla made the Filipinos proud in the Middle East after winning the Miss Polo International 2019 1st runner-up title.
The Novo Ecijano beauty bested 27 other candidates from all over the world to win the 1st runner up spot in the international pageant held on September 15 in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
The former Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) in Dubai, now a pageant winner who advocates for sports and children’s education, also bagged the competition’s Miss Amity Award.

- Miss Polo International 2019 – Dewanti Kumala, Indonesia
- 1st Runner-up – Joanne Ayrra Averilla, Philippines
- 2nd Runner-up – Sandra Zemaityte, Turkey
Averilla went on social media to express her gratitude to everyone who supported her in the pageant.
“Thank you so much Miss Polo International Organization. And to all who
supported me, maraming maraming salamat po (thank you very much).
Mabuhay, Pilipinas!,” the Pinay beauty said on her post.
With her achievement at the Miss Polo International in Dubai, Joanne Ayrra Averilla now joins the list of Filipinas who recently brought pride and glory to the Philippines in their respective international competitions.
Roxanne Baeyens of Baguio City also won 1st runner-up in 2019 Miss Tourism and Culture Universe in Yangon, Myanmar.
Divine Veranga of Paranaque City also won the runner up title at the Jewel of the World 2019 pageant held in Quezon City.
Tacloban City’s Gabrielle Basiano also bagged the Miss Friendship International 2019 1st Runner-up title in China.
Maureen Montagne snagged the Miss Eco International 2019 1st runner-up placement in Egypt.
