Netflix is set to carry more Filipino-produced films beginning March 1, 2020, this time from Viva Films.
Viva Films announced the good news on its social media on February 21 that 8 of its movies will be available soon on the popular film and series streaming website.
“May malaki kaming handog sa inyo simula March 1,” Viva Films posted on its Instagram together with movie posters collaged into one photo.
“Tawagin na ang buong pamilya at barkada dahil malapit niyo nang mapanood sa Netflix ang ilan sa mga paborito niyong Viva Films! Abangan!” the film company added.
Here are the 8 Filipino films that available on Netflix beginning March 2020:
1. Hating Kapatid topbilled by award-winning actress, celebrity chef and YouTube vlogger Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo, and multi-awarded singer-actress Sarah Geronimo.
2. Secret Affair starring UNICEF national ambassador, actress and TV host Anne Curtis, Walk of Fame 2018 awardee Derek Ramsay, and the actress from celebrity families, Andi Eigenmann.
3. Never Not, Love you is a blockbuster romance/drama film in 2018 starring the former love team, James Reid and Nadine Lustre. Nadine won Gaward URIAN Awards for Best Actress in this movie .
4 Petrang Kabayo is a 2010 fantasy/comedy film starring noontime program It’s Showtime regular host Vice Ganda.
5. The Gifted is a thiller romance produced in 2014 featuring Anne Curtis, Sam Milby and Cristine Reyes.
6 Ang Pambansang Third Wheel is a 2018 romantic comedy topbilled by ABS-CBN actors Sam Milby and Yassi Pressman.
7. Squad Goals #FBoiz is a coming of age film produced in 2018 featuring Julian Trono, Vitto Marquez, Dan Huschka, Andrew Muhlach and Jack Reid, with special appearance of Ella Cruz.
8. ABNKKBSNPLAko?! is a film adaptation in 2014 from the book written by Filipino author Bob Ong way back in 2001. The movie is topbilled by Jericho Rosales.
On February 14, Viva Films’ #Jowable starring Kim Molina and Jerald Napoles was made available for streaming as a Valentine’s Day gift.
Other Filipino movies available on Netflix since 2018 include the Alden Richards – Maine Mendoza movie Imagine You and Me, Paulo Avelino’s Goyo Ang Batang Heneral, John Arcilla’s Heneral Luna, and more.
