In celebration of Women’s Month, BlogTalk with MJ Racadio shines a spotlight on an inspiring Filipina who rose from humble beginnings in the Philippines to international fame—Queen Corazon Ugalde Yellen.
Born and raised in Quezon City, Manila, Queen Corazon is the youngest daughter of former Philippine Air Force Brigadier General Aurelio Ugalde and Chony Ugalde. Her name “Corazon,” meaning “Heart” in Spanish, reflects the love and passion she brings to everything she does.
Here are some snaps from the exclusive interview:
Her heritage—Filipino, Polynesian, French, and Spanish—has gifted her with an exotic beauty and unmatched charisma. A natural performer since childhood, Corazon danced and acted in school productions, collecting pageant titles from Miss Primary to Homecoming Queen.
She pursued her education at Siena College and the University of Santo Tomas, while launching a modeling career at just 13 years old. Her early success included TV and print ads for brands like Pepsi Cola, Firestone Tires, Macy’s, King’s Hawaiian Bread, Western Airlines, and Beverage Co.
Queen Corazon later became an internationally published cover girl, gracing the covers of more than 80 international magazines and over 400 publications worldwide.
From modeling to beauty queen titles, real estate to reigning as Hollywood’s Queen of the Barbie Dolls, Queen Corazon’s journey inspires women everywhere to dream big and shine bright.
