American lifestyle icon Martha Stewart was recently seen visiting Manila’s world-famous landmarks.
The popular television personality, known for her Do-It-Yourself (DIY) tips on food recipes, home decor, and crafts, was given a tour by the Department of Tourism (DOT) around the capital city’s famed travel spots.
Martha Stewart met with Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat and was joined by Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso in a tour of the National Museum of National History where she sampled Filipino cuisine prepared by internationally-awarded Filipino chef Margarita Forés.
Stewart was seen happily snapping up photos of Manila landmarks such as the walled city of Intramuros, Fort Santiago, and the centuries-old San Agustin Church.
Martha Stewart even had the unique experience of being serenaded with a Filipino song popularized by Yoyoy Villame and sung with gusto by Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso, himself a former television star before he ventured into politics.
