Binibining Pilipinas – Intercontinental 2019 Emma Tiglao has donated medical and hygiene supplies to personnel and inmates of Angeles District Jail Male Dormitory in Pampanga amid the coronavirus disease pandemic.
The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Angeles District Jail Male Dormitory shared the good news on its Facebook page on September 14, 2020, that they have received the donations from the Filipina beauty queen.
The Kapampangan beauty turned over boxes of disposable face masks, face shields, soaps, shampoo, boxes of ascorbic acid and paracetamol, gallons of alcohol.
In her Facebook post, Emma Tiglao expressed gratitude to all those who supported her donation drive for the inmates of Angeles City.
It can be recalled that the city inmates helped the beauty queen in her national costumes when she competed in last year’s edition of Binibing Pilipinas and Miss Intercontinental pageant in Egypt.
Other Pinay beauty queens also did their part in helping families and communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and her team successfully raised more than Php 1 million for health workers fighting the COVID-19 in the country.
Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray raised Php 5 million through the “No Work, No Rice” fundraiser to feed thousands of families in Tondo, Manila, affected the pandemic.
