The Philippines’ Jollibee Chicken Joy is among the winners of the Best Dish Award in Brunei Food Awards 2020.
The “best-tasting Chicken Joy,” has again achieved another recognition as one of the 75 Best Dish awardees in the Brunei Food Awards ceremony held at the Mulia Hotel on December 13, 2020.
The Filipino-style fried chicken made it to the 75 dishes out of 736 presented in front of the Food Judges subjected to scoring and evaluation.
Jollibee’s chicken joy is one of the foods that received the highest score in the category of “Best Dishes” to clinch the title “Best Dish Award.”
The raved-over-meal, which made huge crowds in Canada and United States line up during its store openings, competed with other well-known favorites such as Nasi Lemak, Nasi Biryani, Roti Canai, Pizza, and Sushi.
The world-famous chicken was judged based on its Execution, Appearance, Taste, and E.AT – the World Food Championships’ (WFC) own judging method.
The world-famous fried chicken from homegrown international restaurant chain had earlier received recognition as the 4th Best Fast-Food Fried Chicken in America and one of America’s Best ranked by FoodBeast.
The fast-growing Filipino restaurant has over 1,200 branches worldwide including the store in Rome near Vatican City and the first Alberta store which is 5th in Canada.
