The historical Walled City of Intramuros in Manila is given the spotlight in the summer fashion collection video released by Bench on Monday.
The homegrown Filipino international clothing brand released on February 17, 2020, its video campaign for the Bench summer collection that highlights not just the brand ambassadors but also the beauty of Intramuros.
The video titled “Yes to a Summer Kind of Love” was filmed in Manila’s walled city and showcased the heritage structures of Casa Manila, Barbara’s Restaurant, San Agustin Museum, and Baluarte de San Diego.
Historical tourism sites included in the promotional video were Fort Santiago, which recently opened its dungeons for night tours, and the Manila Cathedral Church where the former Archbishop of Manila Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle used to celebrate mass before his recent appointment to a top Vatican post in Rome, Italy.
The Bench brand ambassadors wearing the clothing company’s summer collection seen on the promotional video included ABS-CBN Kapamilya stars — the love team of Bench TernoCon attendees Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil and the blockbuster team up of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla who topped the Twitter trending topics after visiting Intramuros at night for an unplanned date.
Also in the video were Goto: Ang Batang Heneral lead actor, Paulo Avelino, and the first ever Filipina Taiwan Tourism Ambassador, Gabbi Garcia.
“It’s a fashion walk x history lesson x culture trip for the 1st leg of #BENCHSummer2020 as we head on with our faves to the rich sights of our beloved Intramuros,” went the caption of the new social media campaign of Bench as it thanked the Department of Tourism NCR and the Intramuros Administration.
The Bench tourism video promoted its local brand while putting the spotlight on local tourist spots in the Philippines.
