GMA Network’s Art Angel is back on TV to teach children arts and crafts while they are at home due to the on-going community quarantine to stop the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Art Angel host Kuya Tonipet Gaba shared the good news on social media that the multi-awarded children show will back after it bid goodbye in 2011. It premiered on Philippine Television back in 2004 and was aired every Saturday morning for seven years.
“Mga batang Art Angel! I-share na ang post na ito at i-share ang saya ng ating kabataan sa bagong henerasyon!” Kuya Tonipet said on his Facebook post last May 13, 2020, that came with a photo of Art Angel logo.
“Mag-uumpisa na next week, Mondays-Wednesdays-Fridays!” the Kapuso host added.
Art Angel was hosted by Tonipet Gaba and GMA broadcast journalist Pia Arcangel and former child star Krystal Reyes. Pia Archangel was later replaced by actress Roxanne Barcelo.
The show received local and international awards for children’s shows such as the Anak TV Seal, Los Angeles International TV & Film Festival, PMPC Star Awards for Television, and more.
Art Angel will be aired at 8:25 in the morning every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday starting May 18, 2020.
Children’s shows during the 90’s such as Sine’skwela, Bayani, Hiraya Manawari of Kapamilya network also made a re-run for kids every weekend prior to the ABS-CBN shutdown.
The Kalyeserye segment of Eat Bulaga starring the phenomenal AlDUb love team of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza is also being replayed, this time, with the launching of Bobble Head Dolls collection to raise funds for another segment, Kabuhayan Ni Juan.
