The 26-year-old Tabuena was a silver medalist in the 2010 Asian Games and a two-time Asian Tour winner.
Yuka Saso earlier this year became the first Filipina winner of the US Women’s Golf Open Championship.
Carlo Biado recently became the first Filipino in 27 years to win the US Open Pool Championship since Efren Bata Reyes won in 1994.
