Filipina Image Consultant Olen Juarez-Lim Makes History as AICI President, Brings First Global Conference to Asia

Olen Juarez-Lim, the first Filipina president of the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI), leads the organization’s historic 35th Global Conference in Manila.

For the first time in 35 years, the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI), a US-based global organization of image management professionals, has elected an Asian president—and she is a Filipina.

Olen Juarez-Lim, founder and president of OJL Consulting Group, is now the 22nd president of AICI. She is the first Filipina to lead the organization since its founding.

Lim will also host the AICI Global Conference from April 24 to 27, 2025, at the Makati Shangri-La Manila Hotel. This is the first time the prestigious event will be held in Asia. Themed “Weaving the Future: Global Collaborations for Breakthrough Innovations,” the four-day event will gather delegates from North and South America, Europe, Australia, and Asia.

Filipino culture will take center stage at the event.

“The Philippines is renowned for its warm hospitality, rich cultural heritage and vibrant traditions. By choosing Manila as the conference venue, AICI aims to offer an immersive experience that highlights Filipino hospitality, cuisine and the arts. This unique backdrop provides an excellent opportunity for attendees to experience the warmth and friendliness of the Filipino people, so the conference becomes not just educational but also culturally enriching,” said Lim.

She also said the Manila conference will recognize the work of Filipino image professionals.

“The conference will be a platform for local talents to gain international recognition, promote their work and share their insights. The event will encourage global discourse on image consulting,” Lim added.

Rajo Laurel joins the Manila Conference this April:

AICI Vice President Rosario Diz of Argentina echoed the vision.

“Holding AICI’s 35th Anniversary Global Conference in Manila will let us celebrate the diverse and global nature of our organization and help us create an enriching experience that fosters professional growth, cultural exchange and industry innovation,” Diz said.

Bea Valdes joins the Manila Conference:

The last AICI Global Conference was held in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, in 2023. This year’s attendees will not only benefit from expert knowledge but also enjoy Filipino hospitality and visit popular local destinations during their stay.
