Filipina actress Gabbi Garcia has been appointed as Taiwan Tourism Ambassador, the first Filipina to hold the post.
In her social media on February 7, Gabbi announced the good news to her supporters by posting glossy photos shot in Taiwan. The GMA Network Kapuso star and celebrity endorser flew to Taiwan early this year for the special project.
“So happy to announce that I’m the First Filipina Taiwan Tourism Ambassador!” said the 21-year-old Pinay actress and celebrity endorser. “Shooting this didn’t feel like work at all!!”
The newest Taiwan Tourism Ambassador was present at the Travel Tour Expo 2020 held at SMX Convention Center where she was formally introduced as the first Pinay Taiwan Tourism Ambassador.
Gabbi Garcia was chosen by the Taiwan Tourism Board because of her “healthy” and “positive” image in the local and international entertainment industry, reports GMA News Online. The actress-recording artist has earned the title “Global Endorser” after signing up for international brand endorsements.
Moreover, the Kapuso star has 5 million Instagram followers and 4.5 Facebook supporters.
In an interview with GMA Network, Gabbi shared that she sees her new task as a milestone and responsibility.
“It’s another milestone for my career and I’m just honored and happy to be the first Filipina, and I feel like it’s more of responsibility to promote good tourism and all positive things about Taiwan,” Gabbi shared during the interview with GMA Network.
Aside from Gabbi, other Filipino celebrities are also making headlines after being appointed as ambassadors because of their skills and dedication.
