The 2024 Caroupreneur Awards, hosted by Carousell, recognized outstanding Filipino entrepreneurs for their resilience and innovative spirit. With a focus on the nation’s thriving small business community, the awards honored 33 winners from a pool of over 200 finalists. These winners stood out for their exceptional platform performance, which includes factors like listing quality, customer feedback, and responsiveness.
The term ‘Caroupreneur,’ a blend of “Carousell” and “entrepreneur,” encapsulates the essence of the awards, celebrating individuals who have turned their passion for selling secondhand goods into successful enterprises on the Carousell platform.
Shine Resurreccion, Business Director and Market Representative for Carousell Philippines emphasized the importance of these awards in recognizing local business success: “The Caroupreneur Awards honor the resilience, innovation, and commitment of our Filipino community. This year’s awards introduced several new categories aimed at celebrating those who go above and beyond for consumers. These include the Consumer Advocate Award, the Customer-Centric Service Award, and the Customer Satisfaction Award. These new accolades highlight companies that prioritize customer needs, building trust through a user-first approach.
One notable winner, Gian Carlo Bero, clinched the Consumer Advocate Award and Superstar Broker Award. Bero, a real estate expert from Antipolo, credited Carousell with supporting his business growth: “I am deeply grateful to Carousell for helping me achieve significant milestones in my career. Through Carousell, I’ve found a platform that supports transparency, professionalism, and meaningful connections in the ever-evolving real estate industry.”

The Best in Luxury Bags award went to Maria Magallon of @ravishing.queen, a business owner and OFW who returned to the Philippines during the pandemic. Magallon shared, “Winning this award reaffirms my commitment to connecting Filipinos with high-quality luxury goods. Carousell has enabled me to start a successful business in the Philippines with a huge network of resellers.”
In the furniture sector, Omesh Vaswani of @costuless_inc. took home the Best in Seating award. “CostULess was founded on the belief that everyone deserves quality furniture for less,” Vaswani said. “With the support of the Carousell Team, our business has grown. We are able to reach more customers nationwide with ease.”
Diego Estrada, winner of the Carousell Loyalty Award in the Autos Category, expressed his gratitude as well: “Carousell has provided our dealership with a trusted platform to reach more buyers here and abroad. This recognition legitimizes our efforts and inspires us to keep going.”
