Miss Philippines Samantha Gabronino made history by winning the Miss Grand Prix crown at the recently concluded Miss Freedom of the World 2024 pageant in Kosovo in Southeast Europe.
The Bulakenya beauty bested other candidates from all over the world to become the first Filipina pageant representative to clinch the Miss Grand Prix title (second place) during the coronation held last June 16 in Kosovo’s capital, Pristina.
The Pinay model, host, actress, and education advocate also bagged the Miss Talent Show award and the Best in National Costume with her “Sapang Palay,” a gold and green Filipino Terno tribute to the agricultural community in her province, Bulacan.
After the competition, Gabronino took to social media to thank all those who supported her in her pageant journey.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people behind this success. You are all the jewels to this crown [White heart emoji],” the Filipina beauty queen wrote in her Facebook post on June 18.
She then expressed gratitude to God, her family, her team, and her sponsors for being her support system.
The University of the Philippines Mass Communication alumna also thanked the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in Kosovo for helping and cheering her on during the entire pageant.
“To Filipino Migrant Workers in Kosovo, you are my home away from home. Your immense support fueled me to represent our country better! I felt the warmth of Filipinos from another side of the globe at ang support niyo, di matatapatan ng kahit anong bansa (And your support cannot be matched by any other country)!” Gabronino emphasized.
“To all the people who helped me come to this point, this crown is for you!” she concluded.
