BPI Foundation’s advocacy, Kasama Lahat sa Pag-unlad, takes center stage in this exhibit, blending historical paintings with modern photography to highlight the evolution of Philippine society.

‘In the Name of Progress’ celebrates both Filipino artistry and BPI’s long-standing commitment to preserving our nation’s cultural legacy—a dedication that has grown over our 173-year journey. The BPI Art Collection embodies this commitment, showcasing the creativity, spirit, and resilience of Filipino communities through artworks that capture pivotal moments in our shared history and inspire us to envision the future,” said TG Limcaoco, BPI President and CEO.

The exhibit features masterpieces by some of the Philippines’ most revered visual artists, including National Artists Juan Luna, Federico Aguilar Alcuaz, Jose Joya, Antonio Austria, and Manuel Baldemor. Their works, depicting iconic events, traditions, and landscapes, provide visitors with a profound appreciation of Filipino history and identity.

A unique aspect of the exhibit is its collaboration with the Ayala Alabang Camera Club, whose members contributed contemporary photographic interpretations inspired by the historical artworks. This creative fusion allows audiences to view Philippine heritage through the lenses of both the past and present, sparking reflections on the continuity and transformation of Filipino life.
