In a significant move towards inclusive employment, Jollibee Group has joined forces with the Muntinlupa City government to create job opportunities for senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs). This collaboration, sealed with a memorandum of agreement, is a testament to both entities’ commitment to supporting these often-overlooked communities.
This initiative will see 32 deserving senior citizens and PWDs gain employment in various Jollibee, Greenwich, and Burger King outlets across Muntinlupa City. The Muntinlupa Public Employment Service Office (PESO) will play a crucial role in this endeavor, ensuring a thorough screening process to identify the most suitable candidates for these roles. Successful applicants will be involved in enhancing customer experience and performing tasks like ushering and table service.
Mayor Ruffy Biazon of Muntinlupa expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership: “What we have actually done is break through some barriers for our fellow Muntinlupeños particularly to PWDs and seniors.”
Ruth Angeles, Jollibee Group’s Vice President, echoed this sentiment, highlighting their aim to extend such inclusive employment programs across NCR and nationwide. “We are happy to partner with the Muntinlupa City government to cater to the needs of senior citizens and PWDs who aspire to work and remain active contributors to society.”
This initiative is not limited to Muntinlupa City. Earlier this year, Jollibee Group established similar partnerships with the local governments of Manila and Antipolo, reinforcing their dedication to inclusive employment.
