Club Paradise resort in Palawan, Philippines has been included in Green Destinations’ worldwide Top 100 Sustainable Destinations list for eco-conscious travelers.
The Palawan resort was chosen by the Netherlands-based nonprofit Green Destinations, along with its partners and country experts who form the 6th annual Sustainable Top 100 competition to showcase environmental sustainability and good practices of establishments around the world.
Club Paradise and other nominees were evaluated based on 30 core sustainability criteria from the Green Destinations Standard (GSTC-Recognised) and a well-written Good Practice Story of destination sustainability.
The winning participants of Sustainable Destinations were determined by the quality, effectiveness, and transferability of the Good Practice Stories that were submitted by the destinations.

Club Paradise is the lone winner for the Philippines at the first online Global Green Destinations Days (GGDD) which took place on October 6, 2020.
The tropical paradise is located in Coron, Palawan, and is an exclusive 19-hectare island resort dotted in a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Aside from offering a myriad of activities such as kayaking, snorkeling, diving, hiking, and island hopping to tourists, Club Paradise Palawan promotes the advocacy to protect the environment through green and sustainable initiatives under their EcoConserve program.
The Palawan resort is touted as the Sea Guardians who protect the surrounding waters of the island against illegal fishermen and care for the reef which protects the health and conservation of the marine ecosystem. Club Paradise’s shores serve as nesting sites for critically endangered Hawksbill Sea Turtles and Green Sea Turtles.
Club Paradise Palawan hosts various eco-friendly projects, including the multi-department initiative of transforming discarded plastics into basic building block units or Ecobricks, which will then be used to build plant terraces in Taranuman Farm in Coron.
Palawan was voted World’s Best Island by the prestigious Travel+Leisure magazine of New York. Famous for its crystal clear waters, Palawan’s Tubbataha Reef National Park along with Cebu’s Moalboal was once again cited among Lonely Planet’s recommended “most surprisingly spectacular” dive spots in the world.
