Manila’s condominium residents have donated clothes to Caritas’ Segunda Mana charity program to help the poor affected by the lockdown amid the COVID 19 pandemic.
The Quadruple A developer DMCI Homes turned over boxes of pre-loved clothes for children and adults from its residents to Caritas Manila in support of its donations-in-kind program.
Since March 2020, DMCI Homes has already delivered three batches of donations to the Caritas Manila office in Pandacan, Manila.
“We are happy to be able to contribute to this noble cause. On behalf of our residents, we would like to thank Caritas Manila for giving us another venue to help the underprivileged sectors of society,” DMCI Homes Corporate Communications Manager Carlo Gahol said.
Segunda Mana is the donations-in-kind program of Caritas Manila—the social action arm of the Archdiocese of Manila—which aims to support programs for the poor.
Donated second-hand items are sold in Segunda Mana Charity Outlets and Expos to raise funds for social services programs of the Church such as scholarship programs, relief efforts, and even housing assistance.

More communities are sending help to the needy such as UST students whose Streets to Schools donation drive for gadgets are helping kids with distance learning and SMDC’s Good Guys employees who help frontliners, elderly, and PWDs cope with the pandemic.
