Forbes Magazine named the Philippines a recommended travel destination after the coronavirus pandemic has subsided to allow international travelers to visit.
The international magazine’s new travel feature titled “Rising Stars In Travel: These 7 Countries Have Potential To Become Major Tourist Destinations In A Post-Covid World” published on May 31, 2020, listed the Philippines among the nations that offer the features of world-class destinations.
“The ingredients are all there – pristine natural beauty, historic ruins, and fascinating cultural experiences can be encountered in abundance across all seven of these highly underrated nations,” wrote Forbes contributor Jared Ranahan.
The Forbes recommendation for the Philippines reads: “With roughly 7,500 islands to choose from, this massive archipelago has something to offer for even the most finicky of tourists.”
Ranahan then lists the following appeals of the Southeast Asian Nation:
- The northernmost island, Luzon, is home to Metro Manila, a truly massive metropolis consisting of 16 cities
- The national capital of Manila and the country’s most populous settlement, Quezon City, are two popular destinations for a deep immersion into mainstream Filipino culture
- Those planning to lounge on the sandy shores should head to Visayas, the country’s central archipelago, where island destinations like Palawan and Boracay offer some of the nation’s finest white sand beaches, as well as countless opportunities to spot some of the endemic plant and animal species of the Philippines
The Philippines is joined in the Forbes Travel list by Ethiopia, Iran, Myanmar (Burma), Georgia, Slovenia, and Tunisia.
World-famous Boracay recently reopened its beaches with new safety guidelines following health protocols during the pandemic.
Various travel sites have recommended travel to the Philippines. Tripadvisor 2020 Traveller’s Choice Awards named Luzon the World’s Top 2 Trending Destination, while Palawan is Top 2 Hottest Travel Destination, and Boracay beaches among the Top Beaches in Asia 2020.
The Philippines was named 8th Most Favorite Place for world travelers by the Condé Nast Traveler (CNT) Readers’ Choice Awards 2019
SEND CHEERS to the Philippines’ tourism industry as it embraces its Rising Star status when global travel becomes feasible.
