Stephen Loman successfully defended his Brave Bantamweight MMA title on March 15 in Manila – marking a historical first by defending his title three times in a row.
Stephen “The Sniper” Loman also marked another first in his MMA career – a first fight on Philippine soil and he did not disappoint the Filipino nation.
The Brave champion dominated his challenger Elias Boudegzdame with a series of punches and kicks during the early round. The challenger was momentarily able to return fire but “The Sniper” executed an outstanding performance to make the challenger waver. With astonishing offense the Filipino champion was able to end the fight with a TKO – effectively defending his Bantamweight tittle.
Loman led the Filipino fighters who scored big wins during the Brave 22 Storm of Warriors along with fellow Team Lakay winning fighters Jomar Pa-ac, Harold Banario, Jeremy Pacatiw. Joining the Baguio-based MMA stable’s winners are Rolando Dy from Kratos MMA and UGB MMA’s Jayson Margallo.
Loman dedicated his Manila victory to his uncle. During his victory speech the champion said, “I would like to dedicate this fight to my family and teammates. But was also to my uncle, who passed away this month. This was for him, definitely.”
