Miss Universe Brazil Julia Gama has shared a video in which she speaks to her Filipino fans in Tagalog.
Gama is vying for the coveted Miss Universe crown in competition with the Philippines’ Rabiya Mateo.
The beauty queen addressed her international pageant fans in a short video clip posted via Instagram on May 7, 2021.
The Brazilian delegate said in Tagalog: “Mabuhay, Pilipinas! Kumusta? Ako po si Julia Gamma, ang Miss Universe ng Brazil. Maraming salamat sa lahat ng suporta. Mahal ko kayo!”
In the post caption, Gama asked audiences how she did in Filipino, adding that she wanted to get the words right so she could thank Pinoy pageant fans for their show of kindness and support.
“Did I say it right? Thanks to everyone from Philippines who have been so kind and supportive to me!!!” Julia Gama wrote.
The 27-year-old model also expressed her desire to meet Ilongga beauty queen Rabiya Mateo, who is representing the Philippines in the 2020 Miss Universe stage.
“I love you and I am looking forward to meeting @rabiyamateo !!!” Gama adds.
Julia Weissheimer Werlang Gama is an actress, model, and beauty queen from Brazil. She has a degree in dramatic arts and studied chemical engineering.
The Philippines’ Rabiya Mateo is meanwhile winning the hearts of netizens for championing education and social work in her up close video for the Miss Universe pageant.
Filipino designers are on a roll after being chosen by official Miss Universe delegates Nova Stevens, Bianca Tirsin, and Angèle Kossinda to design their gowns for the much-awaited pageant.
The Miss Universe organization earlier announced that it has chosen Filipino designer Jojo Bragais as its new partner to provide footwear to the candidates of the 69th edition of the annual beauty pageant.
