Marcelito Pomoy took America – and the world – by storm as he competed on America’s Got Talent: Champions (AGTC) edition with his dual-voiced singing of famous duets and flawlessly switching between soprano and tenor.
The 2011 Pilipinas Got Talent champion was called to the original hit talent show stage of America’s Got Talent to compete as one of the 40 best acts from among the Got Talent franchises around the world and delivered amazing performances one after another.
Marcelito Pomoy’s AGTC performance videos have all hit #1 on YouTube Trending videos, raking in millions of views for the show’s channel.
Marcelito Pomoy first stunned the world as he performed a cover of Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli’s “The Prayer” on January 13, 2020, causing the four AGTC judges and full house audience to give him a standing ovation.
On that AGTC episode, Pomoy recounted how competing and winning the Pilipinas Got Talent paved the way for him to reunite with his parents whom he lost contact with as a young boy who lived off the streets. The Superfans voted Pomoy into the semifinals.
The YouTube video of Pomoy’s cover of “The Prayer” has reached nearly 24 million views.
