Filipino-American Grammy winner H.E.R. lives out a childhood dream by guest-starring in a special episode of the long-running American children’s show, Blue’s Clues & You.
The popular Nickelodeon show with its Filipino-American host Josh Dela Cruz welcomed the acclaimed R&B singer in a prehistoric-themed episode titled “Blue’s Dino Clues.”
H.E.R., whose real name is Gabriella “Gabi” Sarmiento Wilson, excitedly took to Instagram to reveal that she is voicing a friendly purple dinosaur in the animated show.
“GUYYYSSSSS I’M ON BLUES CLUES. MY CHILDHOOD DREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you @nickjr @nickelodeon I had so much fun!” H.E.R. posted on social media.

In the episode, H.E.R. plays a purple Tyrannosaurus Rex who tries to help Josh and Blue figure out what kind of dinosaur is inside a mysterious egg.
The show’s episode which aired on American television on January 14, 2022, features a music video in which H.E.R. helps the gang and the audience solve a clue by singing about the many different dinosaurs and their shapes and sizes.
Previously, “Blue’s Clues & You” welcomed a Filipino character – “Lola” – the grandma of host Josh Dela Cuz, bringing Pinoy culture and traditions to the show.
H.E.R. is currently leading her fellow Fil-Am artists with eight nominations in the 2022 Grammys. She also makes her acting debut in the upcoming film adaptation of the Tony-winning Broadway musical, The Color Purple.
The Fil-Am singer-songwriter earlier treated fans to an entertaining video that pays tribute to her maternal Pinoy roots following her 63rd Grammys double wins.
