Filipino singers Darren Espanto and Morissette have joined Aladdin’s “A Whole New World” carpet ride in the official Disney music video of the new film.
The Aladdin official music video features Darren and Morissette singing the Disney theme “A Whole New World”. The popular song of the hit Aladdin animation film was originally recorded by Filipina Disney Princess Lea Salonga.
The singing pair was picked by Disney to record the live-action film version of Aladdin which started screening in May 2019.

The new Aladdin film stars Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine, and Will Smith as Genie.
The music video featuring the Filipino duet is played onscreen before the start of every screening in theaters.
“I’m very happy na we’re given all these amazing opportunities po so that we can show our talent internationally, in other countries,” said Espanto in a media briefing during the Philipine screening of Aladdin.

“It’s such a privilege kaya we just want to continue to spread OPM also to the rest of the world,” Amon added.
Darren Espanto and Morissette both recorded a Philippine Independence Day song for Jollibee – two years apart.
Darren sang the original release with Rachelle Ann Go in 2016.
Darren Espanto and Morisette Amon singing Aladdin’s “A Whole New World” has trended on YouTube since its release on May 30.
The audio only version is available on iTunes and Spotify.
