Champion dance crew UPeepz is giving free 15-minute online dance classes on Facebook to raise funds for personal protective equipment (PPE) of frontliners in various hospitals.
The fundraising event titled “PEEP-teen Minute Dance Classes” aims to raise funds for PPEs that will be donated to the Philippine Heart Center and Quezon City General Hospital as support to medical frontliners in the COVID-19 pandemic.
The professional dance group that had its beginnings at the University of the Philippines Diliman started their series of free online dance classes on their Facebook page on April 13, 2020. The classes are conducted by UPeepz choreographers dancing to different songs.
“LET’S GOOOO FIGHT COVID 19!!!!!!! EVERYONE STAY AT HOME AND DANCE!” said Mavy Marquez, who conducted the first 15-minute Peep-teen class.
The 2016 and 2017 back-to-back World HipHop Dance Championship Megacrew World Champions and 2015 World Supremacy Battlegrounds Monster Crew Champions have been able to raise Php 36,700 as of April 24.
The champion professional dance group won the first runner up title in the 2019 Body Rock Dance Competition in San Diego, California.

Jessica Rayne Tijam, the accomplished teen rhythmic gymnast of the Philippine national team, is also holding online gymnastics classes for other athletes of the Philippines who are staying home during the community quarantine to stop the spread coronavirus disease.
Champion weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz also conducted an online weightlifting seminar for donations used in the Pandemic Relief in the Philippines that provided food packages for families affected by the community quarantine that has stopped regular work to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Fil-Am teen basketball trainer Ryan Ang has added the Gatorade Bottle Challenge to his free online training for athletes to help raise funds for COVID-19 relief.
