The University of the Philippines Diliman (UP Diliman), Ateneo de Manila University (Ateneo), and University of Santo Tomas (UST) led UniRank’s 2020 Top Universities Ranking in the Philippines.
The top 3 Philippine universities led the 231 Philippine higher-education institutions that were ranked in the 2020 edition of the annual listing that features over 13,600 officially recognized Universities and Colleges in 200 countries.
UP Diliman ranked in first place, followed by second-ranked Ateneo, and UST in the third spot.
UP, Ateneo, and UST had the best scores on the non-academic League Table of the top Philippine Universities based on web metrics provided by independent web intelligence sources rather than data submitted by the Universities themselves.

1. University of the Philippines Diliman

UP Diliman in Quezon City is a popular topic on the web and social media as the flagship campus of the UP System. It is home to the celebrated UP Fighting Maroons, national artists, and top scientists. UP Diliman agreed to house a COVID-19 testing center for Quezon City, set up a quarantine facility and is offering free counseling to frontliners, patients and their families, and anyone severely affected by the health crisis.
2. Ateneo de Manila University

Ateneo De Manila University is home to the popular UAAP Men’s Basketball champions, the Ateneo Blue Eagles, and is run by the Jesuit Order. Ateneo Engineering professor Fabian M. The University of Santo Tomas is the oldest active university in all of Asia and is run by the Dominican Order. UST Growling Tigers are the current UAAP Overall Champions. Its community has been creating face shields for frontliners in the battle against the coronavirus disease. UST Singers Alumni from around the world recently gathered together online singing the OPM classic “Isang Lahi, Isang Dugo, Isang Musika” to spread hope, national unity, and inspire Filipinos at the time of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The University of the Philippines has been a popular topic on the web as the country’s premier university and especially during the ongoing community quarantine as its campuses led researches and innovation to address the coronavirus disease pandemic. De La Salle University-Manila (DLSU Manila) has announced tuition rebates and extended free counseling as well as pocket wifis to support its academic community to help them cope with the COVID-19 pandemic and enhanced community quarantine.
