Two Bohol-Panglao International Airport (BPIA) employees were recognized by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) for their honesty after returning found items left by passengers.
BPIA facility cleaners Lourdes Malou Montalban and Christopher Horcasitas were commended by the CAAP Area VII officials for their individual acts of honesty.
In a social media post the CAAP praised Christopher Horcasitas after returning a sling bag he found while on duty on September 12 at the terminal’s rest room. The bag, containing 3 wallets with cash amounting to Php48, 940, several foreign currencies, identification and government-issued cards, and bundles of keys, was accidentally left by owner Marco Fernando L. Ng at the BPIA’s comfort room.
Lourdes Malou Montalban was also recognized by the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals Tagbilaran Chapter after she returned a smartphone left by a passenger at the airport’s comfort room on August 24. Montalban also earned recognition from Bread’s Edge Corporation President and CEO Dr. Ed T. Escalona.
More airport employees in the Philippines have exercised honesty while on duty including the Aeta janitress in Clark, a NAIA janitor, retail and security workers, among many others.
