A new ‘Broadway of Asia’ leisure and entertainment township in Paraňaque City is going to be built with P65 billion invested by Alliance Global Group, Inc (AGI).
AGI, the mother company of the developer and operator of Resorts World Manila, will reportedly build the new Westside City township at the Pagcor Entertainment City’s 31 hectare property, south of Manila.
Business tycoon Andrew Tan of AGI, a major supporter of the Filipino performing arts, says he he envisions his newest project to result in the township being called the ‘Broadway of Asia.’ Westside City will house the first Grand Opera House with a total seating capacity of 3,000.
“We are very excited to see Westside City rising to be a showcase of Manila as a truly world-class Philippine capital,” Tan, chairman and chief executive of Alliance Global Group Inc., told media.
Westside City is AGI’s second leisure and entertainment township, next to Newport City which houses the Resorts World Manila, and the 20th integrated urban township.The new ‘Broadway of Asia’ township will be completed in 2020.
