The Kapuso Network has given Star Studio Japan the opportunity to conduct online auditions and on-ground events to discover world-class singing talent across the country.

This is not the first time a Filipino TV show or segment has been franchised internationally or partnered with an international production company.
In 2012, Indonesia acquired the franchise of the Philippines’ longest-running noontime show, Eat Bulaga, and launched Eat Bulaga Indonesia. The show aired on SCTV from 2012 to 2014 and on ANTV from 2014 to 2016.
Myanmar followed suit in 2019 by acquiring the franchise to create its own version, Eat Bulaga Myanmar.
That same year, ABS-CBN’s noontime program It’s Showtime expanded by launching its first international franchise in Indonesia.
