Filipina beauty queen Stephanie Dela Cruz Ricablanca is showcasing Filipino resiliency in the upcoming 46th edition of Miss Globe 2020.
Laguna’s Stephanie Ricablanca represents Asia as one of six continent representatives announced so far, including winners from Russia, Australia, Africa, the United States, and Peru. Miss Globe’s panel of experts has yet to name the seventh contestant for the final round of the international competition.
Ricablanca has already bagged the Miss Congeniality Award and credits her spot in the global Top 7 to a video she made showcasing the resiliency of the Filipino people and her pledge to become a “servant queen” working on the frontlines of the COVID-19 disease.
“Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all the darkness. It is a reminder that amidst an alarming time like this where everyone is crippled due to health crisis, none of us are alone and we are all part of a global family,” Ricablanca said in the video uploaded on October 22, 2020.
Asia’s Filipino representative for the crown wants to use her voice to campaign for Equal Healthcare rights relevant to the trying times people are facing. Ricablanca also wants to leverage her platform to speak up about pressing issues including anti-bullying, gender equality, and female empowerment, among others.
“I would want to be remembered as the Miss Globe queen who took part in the world’s biggest coalition of partners fighting COVID-19. Conquering the Miss Globe title and crown will not be the biggest triumph of my life, it will be in bringing pride to my country, honor, and distinction to the Miss Globe title,” she explained.
Stephanie Ricablanca wants to make a lasting positive impact not only in the lives of her “kababayans” but for everyone else around the world with her reign and believes helping others is the true purpose of bearing a crown and a title. The Philippine bet for the prestigious pageant shared that Filipinos can continue to support her by liking and leaving a comment on her photo posted on the official Miss Globe Group Instagram page which will serve as votes.
