SM Prime Holdings Inc. has revealed plans for the grand opening of SM City Caloocan, the 86th SM Supermall in the Philippines, on May 17, 2024. Located on Deparo Road in Bagumbong, this expansive mall marks a significant milestone as its first major shopping center in North Caloocan, serving as a central hub for North and South Caloocan residents.
The 94,000 square meters GFA three-level mall features an array of retail, entertainment, and recreational options for visitors. SM Supermalls President Steven Tan expressed enthusiasm, stating, “SM Supermalls is committed to new and exciting shopping experiences for the communities it serves. We are excited to open SM City Caloocan with our well-loved brand of service and convenience, sustainability features, and family fun experience that SM is loved for.”
With its blend of urban design and natural elements, SM City Caloocan aims to redefine the shopping experience in North Caloocan. The mall’s spacious layout with nature-inspired materials and abundant greenery, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. Highlights include an indoor garden, al fresco dining options, and attractions like the Wellness Space and the Sky Plaza.
Moreover, SM City Caloocan boasts a diverse mix of tenants, including homegrown favorites like Mahiwaga Café and Elliot Restaurant, and popular SM affiliate brands such as The SM Store, Uniqlo, and SM Supermarket.
Completing the mall’s offerings are amenities like the SM Foodcourt, SM Cinema, and Cyberzone, ensuring a comprehensive shopping and entertainment experience for visitors. Additionally, the mall provides ample parking space, including E-vehicle charging stations, for customer convenience.

SM Prime earlier reported that the mall business which accounts for 59% of consolidated revenues of SM Investments, increased 7% to PHP18.2 billion in the first quarter of 2024.
