Filipino idol Ken Suson from chart-topping Philippine-pop (P-pop) group SB19 has been featured in an LED billboard in South Korea.
SB19’s Ken is part of the five-member Filipino boy band, the first to be trained by a Korean entertainment company.
Fans of the hit P-pop group who are called A’TIN, put up the digital ad in Seodaemun Station, Seoul, South Korea, to celebrate the singer’s 24th birthday through Idolpick, a web service that allows fans to vote for their favorite Korean idols.
The billboard for Ken located outside the Exit 1 of Seodaemun Station in Seoul shows a video of the artist performing backflips and other dance moves on-stage. Birthday greetings for the pop singer also flash on the screen, along with the numbers “0112” and “970112”.
According to Idolpick, the birthday ad for Ken in Seodaemun, Seoul, South Korea, will run from January 7 until January 13, 2021, in Korean Standard Time (KST).
The Pinoy boy band, also known as Soundbreak19 (SB19), is starting the new year strong by celebrating another global achievement.
SB19’s hit ballad “Hanggang sa Huli” reached No. 1 in Billboard’s LyricFind Global Chart in January, marking the 5th time an SB19 release took the top spot.
Last year, SB19 made history as the only Filipino and Southeast Asian act to make it to the top 10 of Billboard’s Social 50 chart.
The phenomenal Filipino group is composed of members Justin, Ken, Stell, Sejun, and Josh, who all recently starred in their first Christmas film as a holiday gift for fans in December.
