UPDATED August 12. Team Philippines’ journey at the 2024 Paris Olympics ended on a high note as the top-ranking Southeast Asian nation on the Medal Tally with 2 Gold and 2 Bronze medals.
From 69th place in the 2016 Rio Olympics to 50th spot in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the Philippines closed its campaign at 37th rank in the 33rd Olympiad in France held from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
The Philippines on the Paris Olympics Medal Tally Board:
- #32, August 3: Appears on the medal tally board for the first time after Carlos Yulo wins the gold medal in the Men’s Artistic Gymnastics floor exercise event.
- #19, August 4: Moves up to 19th place immediately following Carlos Yulo’s second gold medal in the vault apparatus.
- #22, August 6: At 22nd rank after a bronze medal finish for Aira Villegas in the 50kg women’s boxing division.
- #24, August 7: In 24th spot after a bronze medal win for Nesthy Petecio in the 57kg women’s boxing division.
