Jeressa Caranoo, a mother from Bantayan Island, Cebu, expressed gratitude, saying, “Daghang salamat Pru Life UK. Dahil sa inyo, nabigyan ng libreng proteksyon ang aking baby.” Through PRUBabies, parents receive cash assistance for diagnosis and death due to covered diseases, a crucial support highlighted by the Department of Health, particularly during summer.
The distribution of free vouchers was made possible through Pru Life UK’s extensive network, including its 42,000-strong agency force, local government units, non-government organizations, and hospitals. Collaborations with organizations like the Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST), FirstGen Corp., St. Scholastica’s Formation House, and Rotary Clubs facilitated outreach to various communities nationwide.
In addition to distributing vouchers, Pru Life UK conducted financial literacy and climate & health sessions in Palawan, addressing the province’s specific health challenges. Allan Tumbaga, Chief Customer and Marketing Officer of Pru Life UK emphasized the initiative’s broader mission of making life insurance accessible to Filipino families, stating, “PRUBabies is one of the many ways we make life insurance more accessible to more Filipino families, including babies who deserve to be protected from birth.”
