Sentro Rizal Filipinas-NCCA is presenting the Saturday Sessions of Philippine folktale e-Storytelling hosted by National Artist for Literature Virgilio Almario. How are you preparing your children for the new school year opening this August amid the new normal of online schooling?
Homeschoolers are recommending the Filipino literature e-Storytelling Sessions presented by the Sentro Rizal of the National Commission of Culture and the Arts (NCCA) for the Buwan ng Wika to be part of school resources to be maximized by children who are studying at home amid the coronavirus pandemic that closed regular class sessions.
“Here’s the perfect opportunity to exercise your child’s Filipino literacy skills!” shared Homeschool Global, the Philippines’ foremost homeschooling group.
“Sa Kuwento Natin“ is the NCCA collaboration with Adarna House and Likha-an sa Intramuros that features live storytelling hosted by Filipino Literature National Artist and Komisyon ng Wikang Filipino chairman Virgilio S. Almario.
The Filipino e-Storytelling Sessions began on August 1, 2020, and will continue for the next four Saturdays featuring the following read-aloud sessions of local folklore:
- Si Manama at si Ogassi
- Pandaguan
- Manik Buangsi
- Si Tungkung Langit at si Alunsina
- Umibig si Bugan
The Filipino Storytelling Sessions go live every Saturday of August at 6 P.M. (Philippine Time) on the Sentro Rizal Youtube Channel in this link and the NCCA Facebook page here.
Buwan ng Wika 2020 is being celebrated in the Philippines with virtual events amid the COVID-19 pandemic including the all-Filipino online book fair.
