Two students from the Philippine Science High School – Cordillera Administrative Region Campus (PSHS-CARC) have been hailed as “Most Outstanding Delegates” in the inaugural session of the Model United Nations of the University of Chicago (MUNUC) Singapore conference.
Shanley Valenzuela and Mark Joshua Daquipil were named the most outstanding delegates for the World Health Organization Committee during the MUNUC SG conference held from July 30 to August 1, 2021.
The Philippine representatives tackled contemporary world issues and honed their negotiation skills in the virtual conference, which brought together over 100 delegates from different countries.
Since its founding in 1988, the Model United Nations of the University of Chicago has connected delegates from all walks of life, fostering the spirit of diplomacy and international relations.
The first edition of MUNUC Singapore was hosted by The Global Citizen Academy and MUN Inc. to teach delegates about the key issues that have gripped the world and developing innovative solutions through diplomacy in action.
Filipino students led by the PSHS-Main Campus won in the 33rd International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) in Singapore.
Pisay student Natalia Araña won The Learning Network’s Second Annual STEM Writing Contest organized by The New York Times.
