Popular actor Piolo Pascual is waiving his talent fee, along with other members of the production team of an upcoming film on Marawi.
Pascual talked about his charitable move in an ABS-CBN interview saying he and his team will donate the proceeds of the film to Tindig Marawi, a housing project set up by fellow actor Robin Padilla.
Pascual said the donations coming in to rehabilitate the city is not enough and so they decided to produce the film.
Padilla, a converted Muslim, earlier brought Pascual and his director Joyce Bernal along with other celebrities, to the once-war-besieged city in Mindanao.
The group saw the Ground Zero of the siege, seeing the destruction for themselves and resolving to give more help.
Pascual and Bernal had both earlier donated cash to the rehab work of marawi.
The film has already started casting, and is expected to begin shooting before summer.
