Filipino actor Piolo Pascual has again donated to Gretchen Ho’s #DonateABikeSaveAJob project, providing a total of 200 bikes for the SHAREA app community and typhoon Rolly victims in Metro Naga, Bicol region.
The multi-awarded actor, who waived his talent fee in the Marawi film to help the “Tindig Marawi” housing project, is once again doing his share of good deeds as he donated bikes, helmets, and vests seen in a Facebook post of Woman in Action founder Gretchen Ho on November 9, 2020.
Pascual is among the Filipino celebrities who support Gretchen Ho’s #DonateABikeSaveAJob project along with Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and her boyfriend Sam Milby who donated 50 bikes to Pasig city residents in September.
The “Ang Hupa” actor has been a major supporter of the bike initiative since its conception in August and went all the way from Batangas to Quezon City Circle on November 9, to witness the awarding of the first 100 bike sets to deserving applicants of the SHAREA app community from all over Metro Manila.
The remaining 100 bike sets that the actor donated will be given to the victims of Supertyphoon Rolly in Metro Naga in the coming weeks, said Ho.
Ho thanked the actor for joining their mission.
“Dahil sa kanyang pagiging siklista, alam ni @piolo_pascual ang halaga ng isang bisikleta. Kaya naman, simula Day 1, siya na ang isa sa mga unang nagpledge na magdonate sa bike drive na ito. Maraming salamat sa iyong suporta sa aming adbokasiya 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Proud to be sharing the same mission with you,” wrote Gretchen.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic has caused work disruptions all over the country, various bike initiatives have been initiated including young entrepreneur Raya Buensuceso’s donation of 70 bikes to female frontliners, and champion triathlete Romeo Puncia’s triathlon event for the workers’ bike drive.
