FilStop, a Pinoy-owned superstore which offers the largest selection of authentic Filipino food, has opened in Clifton, New Jersey.
Previously known as Phil-Am Foods in Newark Avenue in Jersey City until 2017 when the company rebranded to FilStop, the store has had a strong online presence since 2012.
Helmed by its president Erwin Santos, FilStop sources Filipino food straight from the Philippines and the rest of Asia.
Good News Pilipinas talked to Erwin Santos and learned what FilStop improved on in their new store.
“We were able to fix all the issues that we had at our original store… More parking, roomier store with wide aisles, a greater selection of products, huge food section,” revealed Santos.
Asked what makes their FilStop superstore special, Santos said they offer the “feeling of being in the Philippines. A sense of a superstore that caters to the Filipino culture first.”
Santos invites Filipinos overseas to FilStop superstore, “Let’s us transport you back to the Philippines. By providing you the food that brings back the best memories.”
The FilStop Clifton store had a soft opening on July 22 and will have a grand opening on August 22.
